Confirmations St. Francis de Sales Oratory

This past Saturday my child and many, many others received the Sacrament of Confirmation with Bishop Edward Rice presiding.  The ceremony and Solemn High Mass were held at St. Francis de Sales Oratory in St. Louis, MO.  We also enjoyed a wonderful reception afterwards with Two Mikes Catering serving their awesome vegetable beef soup.  Yum. (If it tasted familiar, it’s the same soup we had at the Gaudete Benefit Gala last year).

Here are a few photos for your enjoyment:

  1. I was just informed by someone who knows a thing or two about stuff that the black cape is called a farraiolo. Can you tell me if this is the same cape the Canons wear to formal events? Grazie!
